In Closets, Combat and Coming Out – the first Iraq war memoir written by an African-American – author Rob Smith comes to terms with his sexuality against the backdrop of the hyper-masculine and hyper-homophobic, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell U.S. Army. Smith was a very vocal DADT repeal activist, who famously chained himself to the Whitehouse gates in protest. The book was originally published as a paperback, but reimagined here as a hardback edition. I’m also a book publicist aka Popular Publicity and handled the PR for the release of the book.
Matte cover, UV coating on title, author's name, praise attributions.
